I was sitting in my hometown with someone, across the street you could see a truck from my university. It was exiting a place. I had a closed box between my legs and I covered it up when someone walked by. I then looked up into the sky to see the northern lights. It was then that I heard the noises. It was a weird noise and I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. I brushed it off and looked back up at the sky. The northern lights started flickering in a weird 6 pointed shape pattern. I heard the noises again but closer and I turned my head around to see a tall skinny black figure with glowing white eyes staring at me from about 150ft away. I quickly turned around and cursed when my friend grabbed my and laid me in their lap and started slowly dragging me closer to the figure. As they did this, they said “It’s gonna be okay, this is where you’ll bury my body”. Then I woke up.
Dreams can often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Here's a possible interpretation of your dream:
Setting and Context: Dreaming of your hometown suggests a return to familiar emotions, memories, or unresolved issues. It often indicates a longing for comfort or a desire to connect with your roots.
The Closed Box: This might symbolize something you are keeping hidden or something you are protecting. It could represent repressed feelings, secrets, or aspects of your life that you aren't ready to confront yet. Covering it when someone walks by may indicate a fear of judgment or vulnerability.
Northern Lights: The northern lights can symbolize beauty, wonder, and spiritual awakening. However, their flickering in a strange pattern might indicate confusion or volatility in your emotional or spiritual life. The six-pointed shape could hint at the idea of balance and harmony (as seen in the Star of David) or duality and conflict (as seen in sacred geometry).
Weird Noises and the Tall Figure: The strange noises could represent anxiety or fears that you can't quite pinpoint. The tall, skinny black figure with glowing white eyes might symbolize an unknown threat or a part of yourself that feels ominous or intimidating. The glowing eyes could suggest insight or awareness about something you've been avoiding.
Your Friend’s Actions: The interaction with your friend suggests a mix of comfort and discomfort. While they provide reassurance, their comment about where to bury their body adds a layer of eeriness that can't be ignored. This could represent feelings of guilt, loss, or fear of harm, whether to yourself or to those close to you. It may also reflect a concern about responsibility and the burden of what you might have to confront in the future.
Cursing and Reality: Cursing can symbolize frustration or anger at a situation beyond your control. As you wake up in fear, it may be a sign that your subconscious is processing feelings of dread, anxiety, or unresolved issues that you've been avoiding in your waking life.
Overall, this dream might be signaling a need to confront hidden emotions or unresolved fears while also emphasizing the importance of support from friends in navigating such challenges. Reflecting on whether there are any current situations in your life that resonate with these themes may provide further insight.
